Found this news piece from where I grew up, complete with interview with Art Lew from our only skate shop Samurai Skates.
"new main street and a push to get people downtown." Yeah, cause skateboarders were the problem back then in Rochester, not the daily shootings inside the new fancy mall. Reminds me of how far skateboarding has come, although I kinda liked it when everyone hated us.
